Cottage Kitchen Renovation

Midlothian, VA

Purchased in the fall of 2025, this home presented an opportunity to reimagine the kitchen while preserving the quiet charm and cottage spirit that first drew our clients in. The existing layout fell short of supporting the rhythms of family life, lacking both function and a sense of ease for everyday moments.

Our approach centered on a complete reconfiguration of the space. Appliances were thoughtfully relocated, a range and custom hood were introduced, and a generous island now anchors the room. These changes not only improve workflow, but also open the kitchen to the adjacent dining room—creating a more natural, connected environment for cooking, gathering, and lingering over slow morning coffee.

A palette of soft creams, warm natural woods, and aged brass lends a sense of understated warmth, offering a refined contrast to the home’s former finishes. The result is a kitchen that feels both elevated and deeply livable.
